As we all know, Maton make some great guitars. This mod is one we do if the customer is "looking for a bit more" from the guitar. It introduces a more stable platform for the bridge,
and the result is, well,..."a bit more" from the performance of the guitar. A small, subtle volume increase, with a hint more bass and complexity in the upper mids. Not a huge a difference, but a difference none the less.

In this instance, the customer wanted an LR Baggs pickup fitted, so the saddle slot needed to be lengthened as well. The guitar was also beginning to show signs of collapse so the worst case scenario was a neck reset. We went for the best case and shaved a mm from the top of the bridge.

All in all, a good result and a happy customer. Goal achieved!
