Made in China somewhere, this "made in USA" J200 caught even an old campaigner unawares (Not me by the way!)
And it happened like this,
Ebay listing said "made in USA" etc etc.
The item was paid for via PAYPAL. But then, the seller refunded the money, saying his account had been compromised or something along those lines. Anyway, by doing that, the seller inspired trust in the buyer, who then sent a wire transfer for the payment. No PAYPAL, no refund!
Tell tale signs it's a fake: Sound, scarfe joint below the headstock, Gibson are 1 peice, colour, thick finish. Labels were the wrong colour. Many other details.
Beware of the scammers folks!
